A New Zealand scientist moves to Denmark where he tackles a three year project to study the dynamics of CO_2 in marine recirculating aquaculture systems. Juvenile cod are tine target species. A few years ago, a large Danish-designed, land-based kingfish farm in New Zealand stopped operating in large part Because of financial troubles brought about because the system wasn't up to the task required of it - to produce 600 tonnes of fish a year.
