摘要

The results of an experiment on effect of various substrates and their mixtures on growth parameters, yield components and economy in rose (Rosa hybrida Linn.) cv. 'First Red' under fan pad greenhouse system, indicated that the maximum plant height (74.87cm), number of shoots per plant (12.67), number of leaf pairs (18.14) per flowering shoot and shoot length of cut flower (69.43 cm) was obtained with Red soil + Black soil + Coco peat (1:1:1) substrates combination. Significantly, the least number ofdays to sprouting (3.07) was recorded in Red soil + Black soil + Coco peat + Rice Husk (1:1:1:1) treatment. The yield attributing characters like the maximum number of flowers per plant (9.59), per sq. m (20.14) and per hectare (2.01 lac), was recordedin Red soil + Black soil + Coco peat (1:1:1) treatment, and were found at par respectively, with Red soil + Black soil + Coco peat + Rice Husk (1:1:1:1) and Red soil + Black soil + Rice Husk (1:1:1). In case of economics, the treatment Red soil + Black soil + Coco peat (1:1:1), gave highest net return (Rs. 3.79 lac/ha) and found to be more economical with highest CBR (1:1.89).
