Shell CEO Says Company Eyeing CTL Plant in China

Shell is working with Chinese coal companies on the potential for producing liquid fuels from China's vast coal reserves,the company's chief executive said in a speech June 13 at the Asia Oil and Gas Conference in Kuala Lumpur.Shell is already building a coal gasification plant in China with Sinopec that will produce chemical feedstocks,and now has its eyes on a coal-to-liquids(CTL)plant in the country,said Chief Executive Jeroen van der Veer.
