H. Paul Ehrlich, PhD: 2010 recipient of the Wound Healing Society's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Paul Ehrlich has had a long and distinguished career as an outstanding scientist making contributions to the wound healing field for over 40 years. As a graduate student he worked in the laboratory of Dr. T.K. Hunt, at the University of California San Francisco, contributing a number of widely referenced papers focused on recognition and investigation of the role of Vitamin A in reversing some of the wound impairments caused by steroids. He went on to complete a National Institutes of Health (NIH)-sponsored postdoctoral fellowship in collagen biochemistry with Dr. Paul Bornstein at the University of Washington followed by a British-American Heart Research Fellowship at the Strangeways Research Laboratory in Cambridge, England.
