Valero to buy Meraux refinery from Murphy Oil

Murphy Oil has agreed to sell its 135K-b/d Meraux, Louisiana (US) refinery plus inventories and a product terminal to Valero Energy for a total cost of approximately $625MM. The transaction is expected to be completed during the 4Q, just months following Murphy's sale of its 33.3K-b/d Superior, Wisconsin (US) refinery to Calumet Specialty Product Partners in July.
