On Dec. 11, a day after the official closing of the United Nations' conference in South Africa, all biggest emitting nations signed on three key components: extension of the Kyoto Protocol to the end of 2017, the format of the $100B green fund to help poor nations tackle climate change problems, and devising a roadmap to arrive to a legally binding emission reductions agreement by 2015 for enforcement by 2020. It was reported that the European Union, the US, China and India were all on board.
