The Indonesian state energy firm said it is investing in upgrades at its refineries to allow for the processing of more sour crude to boost margins and improve overall company profitability in the wake of falling crude prices. Pertamina said the refinery upgrades will lead to an annual savings of over $.1.0B as it will lower the amount of light, sweet crude the country must import. The Indonesia state energy firm said it expects its 2014 profit to decline over 20% from year-ago levels to $2.4B due to the drop in crude prices.
