A source with the Taiwanese company has said that CPC will soon be a net exporter of isomer-MX. "We are providing feedstock reformate from our internal system to produce isomer-MX on our own, so we will not likely buy isomer-MX from the spot market, but instead will be selling it next year," reported the source. CPC typically buys about 100K mt/y of isomer-MX, but this year it has reportedly bought only about 60K mt via tenders. Additionally, it has sold about 36K mt of the product at a $14-30/mt discount to Platts monthly average assessment.
