BG says it is still just evaluating whether to liquefy and export domestic US gas from Lake Charles, despite Monday's high-profile announcement by terminal owner and operator Southern Union that it and capacity holder BG had already jointly applied for authority to export up to 2 billion cubic feet per day (17.6 million tons per year) of LNG, as well as to store and reexport LNG from elsewhere.
