GDF Suez Diversions

GDF Suez has been busy diverting LNG cargoes from its Everett and Neptune LNG terminals near Boston in the US Northeast this year, Zin Smati, head of the big French utility's North American division, told reporters in London last week. During the first six months of 2011, 12 cargoes were diverted, mainly to Asia, but some to Europe. That's 10 more cargoes than GDF Suez diverted in all of 2010, when only two shipments contracted for US destinations ended up elsewhere, Smati added.
