The monthly contract price for US benchmark Henry Hub remained mired in the $4.30s for a fourth month. The August contract limped off the board last week at $4.37 permillion Btu, even as a tropical storm - normally bullish for prices - was menacing US Gulf production on its way toward landfall on the Texas coast. Tropical Storm Don did little more than bring some demand-dampening rain across drought-stricken Texas, but about 6.2% of natural gas production in the US Gulf of Mexico was shut in Friday in its wake.
