Little more than a month has passed since Yulia Tymoshenko replaced Kremlin-friendly Viktor Yanukovich as Ukraine's prime minister, and already another showdown over gas supply is brewing. True to her tough election rhetoric, Tymoshenko looks determined to rework the 2006 agreement with Gazprom that ended a brief but shockwave-generating cutoff of Russian gas flows to that country's domestic market Gazprom is hardly amused, and has already fired what appears to be a warning shot barely over Tymoshenko's head, under the guise of providing allegedly needed replacement gas supply, just as it is doing to Turkey (WGI Jan.l5,p2).
