Amid the market clouds, low prices and advances in floating technology offer LNG producers a silver lining in the shape of new buyers and markets — if not necessarily immediately (WGI Dec.9' 15). These could include Hong Kong, where key utility CLP revived LNG import ambitions last month by issuing an expression of interest to identify potential suppliers for a proposed floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) that would feed a new combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) unit opening at the end of 2019.
