Those searching for signs of progress on gas projects and policy could be forgiven for feeling disappointment at the annual Nigeria Oil and Gas conference in Abuja last week.The fate of two big LNG projects has yet to be decided,while dilemmas surrounding gas pricing-the key to opening more gas for export and domestic use-have yet to be resolved.In public,the government still has Olokola(OK)LNG on its radar screen,but the reality is complex:The project could be scrapped,restructured,relocated or maintained.No one is clear.The keenest investors say the government remains committed,citing payments into an escrow account to cover some of the costs on behalf of 46.75% stakeholder state Nigerian National Petroleum Corp.(NNPC).
