Hungary Eyes Gas Storage In Ukraine

Ukraine,for the time being still the main transit hub for Russian gas exports to Europe,is considering leasing underground gas storage facilities to European countries,most notably Hungary,following Gazprom's failure to get an ownership stake in the country's gas transportation and storage infrastructure.Ukrainian media reports suggest that Hungary may take up to 1 billion cubic meters(35 billion cubic feet)of capacity in the 30 Bern of Ukrainian storage located near its border.
