CCS EOR Projects Move in North America, Stall in Europe

After years of talk, carbon capture and storage (CCS) has moved in North America from being a great idea to an established practice in the fight against climate change, if partnered with . enhanced oil recovery (EOR). But in Europe, where industry players say EOR isn't as big a part of the economic equation, the technology has yet to establish a foothold, although it is becoming more important, with Maersk Oil looking to use captured carbon dioxide to increase oil production in the Danish North Sea.
