Gazprom Out of Greek Gas Race

Greece plans to take another crack at selling its 100% stake in state gas group Depa after receiving no binding bids in a tender launched early last year to raise up to $2 billion in emergency funding (WGI Feb.20' 13). The government fared only marginally better in its attempt to sell 66% of gas grid Desfa, with Azerbaijan's state Socar declared the only firm bidder.
