摘要

Ongoing problems in Iraq mean the Royal Dutch Shell-led Basrah Gas Co. (BGC) has pushed back plans to process 500 million cubic feet per day of associated gas by the end of this year into 2014. It was processing 400 MMcf/d-435 MMcf/d earlier in October, with most of the gas coming from the BP-operated Rumaila oil field, plus a small contribution from Eni's Zubair, but rates have fluctuated wildly. Processing averaged 450 MMcf/d mid-year, but oil export curtailment due to bad weather in Basrah saw that plunge to around 350 MMcf/d at one point this month, a source close to the project tells WGI.
