The IEA review warns that gas suppliers in France face major seasonal flucturation in demand, with that in Auguty typically only 24% of January's demand. That compares with the UK where demand on the warmest summer day (rather than month) is normally no less than one-third of that on the coldest winter day. IEA admits that seasonality appears to be much more pronounced in France that in other European countries , and therefore needs to be addressed by'modulation'
