The concept of Green Accounting (GA), an evaluation of the economic, social and environmental parameters governing the sustainable development of aquaculture, is described. In this system, economic measurements take into account the effects of production and consumption on the environment, aiming to reduce the environmental damage caused by aquaculture activities.
