The global mix-and-match bazaar on the manufacture of construction equipment goes on. In the latest announcements, Komatsu has announced agreements of cooperation with rival manufacturers Volvo and Hitachi.The companies say that the agreements are aimed at improving their cost-effectiveness along with the quality and technological standards of their products.Komatsu and Volvo Construction Equipment signed a letter of intent for Volvo's specialist cab plant in Hallsberg, Sweden to produce wheel loader abs for four models of Komatsu's small wheel loaders produced in Europe and North America. Production is scheduled to start at the beginning of 2003 after specific conditions are finalised.
