The Niehoff Bunching Automatic Traverse (NBAT) system, which has been developed by Maschinenfabrik Niehoff GmbH & Co. KG, Schwabach, Germany, for its D series one-bow double twist bunchers, automatically detects spool flanges and controls the traverse width of spools with opto-electronic sensors. The NBAT system works automatically and enables a perfect filling of spools without operator intervention. Perfectly filled strand spools can be paid off tangle-free and without wire damage even at very high speeds for total customer satisfaction.
