The Canon EOS HOOD was one of the most popular entry-level DSLRs going and Canon has looked to go one better by implementing a new 18MP sensor into the 1200D that builds substantially oh the 12.2MP count as seen before. The CMOS sensor retains its APS-C dimensions and the DIGIC 4 image processor remains, facilitating a continuous burst of up to 3fps, with a burst depth of around 69 JPEG files, lowering to just six images when shooting Raw. Canon has addressed the quality of the screen by featuring a new 460k-dot 3in TFT LCD, however it's not touchscreen and remains fixed in position that's not uncommon for a DSLR of its pedigree.
