Chromium-nickel steels are used widely in technology, but there is no data in scientific and technical literature on the solubility of hydrogen at high temperatures. In this article, the authors present the results of calculating the solubility of hydrogen in melts at different temperatures and compositions of the melt and gas phase.1 These steels may be represented as three-component systems Fe-Cr-Ni, the concentration of other components is low and, if necessary, the effect of these components may be taken into account.
