摘要

1. The temperature on the interface approximates to a uniform distribution in the final frictional stage, but the external regions of the specimens have lower temperatures during the heating stage. The highest temperature is reached in the region located at one-half of the radius of the bonding zone area. 2. The dependence of the coefficient of friction on the temperature should be investigated for the two bonded materials. 3. Convergence between the numerically computed temperatures, and those measured on the edge during the welding, was obtained. 4. The next stage of computations should be directed towards the assessment of thermo-mechanical effects in the friction-welding of ceramics to metals.
