The regions of immersion of the droplet in short-cir-cuit welding, ensuring the transfer of droplets into the pool, for wires with a diameter 1.2, 1.6 and 2.0 mm are 0.03-0.3, 0.05-0.4 and 0.07-0.8 mm, respectively. These regions may be used as a basis in evaluating the 'shooting' of the wire.The ratio of the internal diameter of the wire feed circuit to the wire diameter should not be greater than 1.6. In this case, the stiffness of the circuit in the longitudinal direction should not result in the formation of elastic strains in it. The length of the circuit should be as short as possible.The electric drive should ensure the stabilization of the wire feed rate within the range not exceeding + 10 percent.It is necessary to determine more accurately the volt-ampere characteristics in the range of the working point of the invertor source for short-circuit welding.
