Growing consumer interest in organic products has prompted an increasing number of textile brands and retailers to develop and market lines of organic cotton textiles.Under its Econfidence programme DyStar has cooperated with organisations like the Institute for Market Ecology(www.IMO.ch)which has been instrumental in developing and implementing the Global Organic Textile Standard(GOTS)and with Control Union Certifications(www.controlunion.com),which licenses the Skal International Standard for Sustainable Textile Production,to get dyes and pigments approved for use on organic textiles.
