Colorado oil and gas agency joins frac-ban suit against Longmont

A Boulder judge has added the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC) as a party to a lawsuit against a voter-approved ban on hydraulic fracturing in Longmont. The ruling makes two lawsuits that the state is involved in against the City of Longmont. The first suit, filed in July 2012, took aim at a City Council-approved set of oil and gas regulations that barred drilling in residential neighborhoods.
