Chris Richardson and Alan Looker used to make and maintain slurry equipment. Now, as joint owners of Storth, they are exporting their expertise around the world. Having visited a pig farm with the largest slurry tank ('Storage rule holds no fears', September Pig World), I was keen to visit the Storth factory that supplied the tank. Many readers will remember Malgar, which made slurry tankers and other slurry handling equipment. When that business went into liquidation in the late 1990s, Chris Richardson, who had been a fitter for the company for 10 years, decided he would start on his own, repairing and maintaining the equipment he had looked after for Malgar.
