摘要

This report compares codes and standards for the design of piping systems in power plants, from the following countries: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Holland, Norway and Sweden. The comparison applies to fossil andnonsafety nuclear power plant piping standards (the equivalent of today's ASME B31.1) and, where they exist, to nuclear safety class power plant piping standards (the equivalent of today's ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section III).The review focuses on design equations for the sizing and stress qualification of power piping. Differences in materials and construction are not addressed. Section 2 provides a comparison overview and specific codes and standards are reviewed in Sections 3 to 10.
