Coating-removal technologies - removal of thermally sprayed coats

This paper provides a synopsis of coating-removal techniques which are suitable for the removal of thermally sprayed coats. The different methods relate to abrasive and chemical processes, to new techniques such as water/abrasive or high-pressure water blasting and to future technologies which, at the moment, are not yet being used for the removal of thermally sprayed coats. These include, for example, cryotechniques (refrigeration techniques) or laser techniques.
