摘要

This original bench research from a group out of St. George's, University of London sought to model and study the mechanisms underlying clinical observations that hyper-glycemia is an independent risk factor for an increased burden of airway colonization with Staphylococcus aureus in intensive care unit patients and frequent exacerbations and poorer outcomes in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and cystic fibrosis.
