In this paper a laser assisted machining process is presented for the manufacturing of micro perforated metal sheets. Results are described considering the diameter of the holes (2μm to 125μm) and their quality as well, e.g. reproducibility of the diameter or roundness of the holes. Furthermore, the positioning technique needed by the process will be discussed, because of their influence on the process velocity.
