Immune-Mediated Hemolytic anemia

Immune-mediated he-molytic anemia (IMHA) is one of the most common causes of anemia in dogs and cats. The patient's immune system begins attacking its own red blood cells (RBCs), resulting in severe anemia and life-threatening complications. Althoughthis condition is much more prevalent in dogs, it must be included in the differential diagnosis for any anemic cat.
