Experience gained during the manufacture and installation of a corrosion-protected heat pipe heat displacement system

Units 7 and 8 of the Maritsa East 2 lignite-fired power station are currently retrofitted with FGD units. For the first time, an ECOSTAT-heat pipe system is used for the heat displacement around the absorber. The presentation describes system's constructive design and the experience gained during the manufacture and installation of the system.
