摘要

In the 50s, power plant operators were faced with the task of embarking on new ways of training their operating staff. Developments affecting the engineering, size and also the I&C of power plants demanded systematic, professional training. The relevant committees of the VGB Association elaborated new professional concepts and guidelines fur training courses. A joint organization, KRAFTWERKSSCHULE E.V., was founded to organize training. KWS understands itself as a service provider of power plant operators for the education and further training of their operating staff. It makes use of the present development in the member companies as a chance and challenge in order to newly define itself. KWS thus serves above all the aim of ascertaining a high educational level, the relief of power plants from educational tasks and the reduction of costs in the companies.
