BALLARAT, Victoria, residents can now look forward to green sporting grounds long into the future following the completion of the stormwater harvesting project. City of Ballarat Deputy Mayor Samantha Mcintosh and Ballarat MP Catherine King celebratedthe completion of the $3.5 million project recently. Cr Mcintosh said the federal government-funded Harnessing Ballarat's Stormwater project meant stormwater would be used to water sporting grounds around the city. "Our goal is to retain or harvest any stormwater so that it can then be diverted to the sporting grounds," Cr Mcintosh said.
