摘要

This book about ion-exchange equipment in the atomic industry should be of interest to workers at non-ferrous metallurgical enterprises and institutes. In this book, along with detailed analysis of the technological characteristics of ion-exchange units, consideration was given to modern domestic and foreign designs of ion-exchange equipment with a generalization of the experience gained in their industrial operation The authors correctly determined a basic approach to intensifying ion-exchange units - the use of continuously-operating apparatus - and presented the necessary data for their/selection; they also included comparisons with calculation of the physico-chemical and kinetic characteristics of the process. Among the designs considered for processing technological solutions and pulps are the apparatus used for sorption from pulps: pulsation with the free movement of sorbent (5-20 percent resin charged to the apparatus), columns with transportation pulsation, making it possible to organize the process of recovering valuable products from pulps of any composition, containing small amounts of impurities, as well as PIK, KNSPR type units to regenerate sorbents, used in flowsheets to produce tungsten and molybdenum.
