摘要

The LTMO {low-temperature mechanical treatment} process for aluminum alloys is continuous and can take from several hours to several days. Recently, a series of technological methods and procedures were developed [1, 2] which make it possible for isothermic aging to be replaced by a more efficient method - cyclic aging - as well as for deformation and aging to be conducted repeatedly and sequentially. Cold plastic deformation is accompanied by removing the heat which accumulates in a billet. If a preliminarily calcined billet - for example from a dispersion-hardened alloy - is subjected to multiple rolling or multiple drawing, with rigidly controlled parameters, and is followed by cooling during interdeformation intervals, then aging processes can develop which will cause cyclical changes in temperature from pass to pass. This effect was the basis for developing a technology for thermoplastic treatment (TPT) which includes decomposition of the solid solution (DSS)
