摘要

The increase in productivity and intensification of pyrometallurgical processes (increase in gas temperature at exit from the furnace - to 1400 deg C and more; sulfide dioxide content - to 80 percent; gas dustiness - to 1000 gm~3) have made it important to attain a considerable increase in the reliability of waste-heat toilers and evaporation cooling units as integral and basic parts of energy-technological units. Technico-economic analysis of the results obtained from the introduction of energy-technological units (particularly when using autogenous processes and high capacity furnaces) shows that expenditures to increase the reliability of waste-heat boilers and evaporation cooling units are paid off quickly, since shutdowns lead to losses amounting to tens of tons of metals and significant losses.
