Freezer solutions to valve exchanges in pipework and other pipe repairs and alterations

Pipework users across the entire industrial spectrum occasionally face the problem of having to change in-line components such as valves. Isolating and exposing sections of pipework for this work can be very expensive for multiple reasons: pipelines need to be emptied of contents be they solid, liquid or gaseous, the contents need to be disposed of or stored, Systems need to be re-filled following any work, and/or production needs to be interrupted. There are several ways to avoid this situation and in this article we have used case studies where freezing has been used to illustrate some cost effective and feasible solutions.
