All clear for take off at Terminal 2

'Come fly with me' by Frank Sinatra echoes through a new departures hall being given its finishing touches at Heathrow, as the airport's top brass conduct a tour of the site. We are here to see progress with Terminal 2B, a ￡590M project to build a satellite pier that will provide an additional 16 aircraft stands on the site of the old Terminal 2. Five years of construction come to a close in October and the first passengers to make use of the new facility will, we are confidently told, board a flight taking off on Wednesday 4 June next year.
