Highways group reconvenes to support efficiency efforts

The efficiency agenda in local government has moved on and so has HELG - the Highways Efficiency Liaison Group - with a new website central to its supporting role. Responsibility for leadership is now firmly with individual local authorities within the Government's non prescriptive efficiency agenda. This can, however, lead to questions of how to initiate and monitor measures for generating efficiencies.
