It's a cold, hard fact that a percentage of patients you treat do not receive the care they deserve. Patients suffer, sometimes grievously, and your practice suffers more grievously than you may know. A 2003 AAHA study, sponsored by Hill's Pet Nutrition, found that veterinarians overestimated client compliance by 25 percent; that is, when veterinarians assumed compliance was 75 percent, it was actually in the neighborhood of 50 percent.
