Selected 105 genotypes of barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) were evaluated in randomized block design with three replications, sown under three different environments to study character association for eleven yield and its component characters. Analysis of variance for genotypes reveals highly significant differences for most of the characters investigated. High GCV and PCV were observed for peduncle length (27.23,34.43), grain yield per plant (21.23,32.23) and effective tillers per plant (19.27, 29.35). Heritability in broad sense ranged from 29.00 (Spike length without awn) to 76.00 (Days to Maturity). High heritability coupled with high genetic advance as percent of mean was observed for plant height and grains per ear. There was positive significant correlation of seed yield per plant with grains per ear (rp= 0.47), effective tillers per plant (rp= 036), 1000 grain weight (rp= 0.25) and Plant Height (rp= 0.19) hence by exercising selection for these characters, it may be possible to isolate superior, high yielding genotypes
