摘要

The Nature of Bushfire Australia cops its fair share of natural disasters. Cyclones, floods and hailstorms can all cause massive damage and often leave lives devastated, and every summer, somewhere in Australia communities are forced to endure the ravages of bushfire, relentless in its attack, merciless in its ferocity. It is as much a part of our history as the dreamtime, wars, the Depression, bushrangers and sporting heroes. Aborigines learnt thousands of years ago that the best way to live with bushfire is to pack up and move on as it approaches. Europeans haven't adapted as well, often planning and building homes, farms, businesses and cities with little regard for the damage bushfires can cause.
