Nine years after the Kirby tire dump near Sycamore, Ohio was set ablaze, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) has completed its clean-up effort. Ohio EPA director Chris Korleski and Ohio EPA staff members attended a special event at the site on April 15th to ceremoniously close the gate on the cleanup project, which lasted from July 1999 to March 2008 and cost millions of dollars.
