UK Power Networks Awards Framework to Reduce Vegetation Management Spend

UK Power Networks has offered a four-year asset management framework to NM Group to assist in reducing the risk of power outages caused by trees and other vegetation that can affect over-head power lines. NM Group will provide accurate structure modeling and clearance-risk analytics for more than 700,000 poles and towers, and will use LiDAR technology to accurately map more than 45,000 km (27,962 miles) of overhead network in the southeastern and eastern parts of England.
