Enochrus grossi (Coleoptera: Hydrophilidae) is described as new from the southeastern United States. It is distinguished from other Nearctic Enochrus by the sparse pubescence of the hind femora being restricted to the basal two thirds. Subgeneric placement is discussed and diagnostic features illustrated.
