One of the most promising new craft to hit the Aussie 'tinnie' market this past summer is the Taiwan-built Morningstar 460 Angler SC.This craft combines highly sophisticated aluminium construction to achieve a hull that's both smooth riding and surprisingly quiet in the water by tinnie standards.The developers of this interesting design literally set out to produce a 'tinnie' that would have the same ride of a comparable size fibreglass boat. That's because tinnies do have a reputation of hard riding and being noisy and this turns off quite a lot of potential buyers. There's no question the basic tinnie has a great reputationas being very practical for fishing, but it tends to lack the same appeal for family and general boating use.
